Privacy Policy

Eeev i Sverige AB, its branch offices and related affiliates (jointly and separately referred to as “Eemotion”) will handle your personal and sensitive information with great care, because we respect the privacy of our customers and visitors of our Sites and any other digital platform managed and/or owned by Eemotion. This Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of the Legal Statement, sets forth the privacy policy of Eemotion pertaining to (the password-protected areas of) all related corporate Sites of the affiliates of Eemotion, which are linked to any of the Sites (collectively the “Sites” and separately the “Site”), and any other digital platform managed and/or owned by Eemotion such as mobile apps and e-commerce stores.

In relation to the processing of your Personal and Sensitive Data by Eemotion and/or any of its branch offices under applicable data protection law, Eemotion shall act as the Data Controller. Any questions, complaints, or requests regarding the data processing activities performed by Eemotion and/or any of its branch offices may be directed to Eemotion. Personal and Sensitive Data

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” means any information by which you can be personally identified, including, without limitation, your name, surname, address, (mobile) telephone number, email address, age, birth date, gender, profession, product data and details, product preferences, product satisfaction, language, driving experience, and other information clearly specified when the data is collected.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy “Sensitive Data” is limited to geolocation data, excluding any other sensitive data such as personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic data, biometric data processed solely for identification, health-related data, or data concerning a person’s sex life or sexual orientation. Such data will not be collected, used, or shared by Eemotion or its affiliates.

Interactive Sections

“Interactive Sections” means all areas of the Sites or any other digital platform managed and/or owned by Eemotion — such as mobile apps or e-commerce stores — which allow you to communicate with other visitors or with Eemotion through forums, clubs, surveys, chat, email, and similar means.

Direct Marketing

“Direct Marketing” means any direct communication between Eemotion and you for the purpose of product and service information, customer profile building, customer satisfaction measurement, and personal customer care.

Processing of Personal and Sensitive Data

This Privacy Policy governs the processing of your Personal and Sensitive Data, including but not limited to the collection, use, retention, and security of information provided by you and/or gathered from you.

Personal Data is used only for the following specific purposes:

Performing and providing Eemotion products and services, including warranty services
Responding to inquiries and requests
Sending notifications and materials that may be of interest to you (such as newsletters, brochures, and other mailings)
Direct Marketing analysis and offers
Security purposes, including access control and improvement of our Site
Internal evaluation of Eemotion’s products and services
Knowledge acquisition for quality enhancement and product improvement
Market research and other analyses
Other purposes clearly specified at the time of data collection

Sensitive Data (geolocation) is used only for:

Calculating routes and offering end-to-end navigation services
Showing real-time location within Eemotion’s mobile app or other tools (e.g., dealer locator)
Enabling end-to-end driving direction capabilities, including background geolocation from the customer’s mobile device

Personal Data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes, or as required by law.

Sensitive Data is not stored in any Eemotion database or software and is deleted within — and no later than — 48 hours from collection.

Personal Data will not be used for Direct Marketing without your prior consent.
Sensitive Data will not be used for geolocation-related services without your prior consent.

Eemotion is not responsible or liable for third-party applications, websites, or services used on our Sites — including social media platforms used to create accounts or sign in.

You may revoke your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal.

Eemotion works with certain third parties, including authorized affiliates, selected business partners, and subcontractors, and may share Personal Data with them only when necessary and only with your consent where required.

Eemotion does not sell, rent, or distribute Personal or Sensitive Data to third parties except as needed to provide the services for which the data was volunteered.

If you choose to create an account using a social media profile (e.g., Facebook or Google), Eemotion will process your name, email address, and account identifier for authentication and account setup. You may remove this authorization at any time.

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites. Eemotion does not control the use of information provided to such parties; their privacy policies apply.

Eemotion applies industry-standard technologies to safeguard your data. Only authorized personnel have access.

Data may be transferred to a destination outside the EEA but only with safeguards ensuring an adequate level of protection, including EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.

If consent for processing is requested, individuals under the age of 16 may only provide Personal or Sensitive Data with consent from a legal guardian.

Cookies are files that may be stored on your device when visiting the Site. Eemotion uses cookies to personalize your experience, match your interests, and facilitate login.
